I am 35 weeks with cesarean pre-booked at 37 weeks and I have just set all mine up this past weekend. So in full term I suppose that would be 38 weeks out of 40?
I’m 33 weeks. My next to me is built just not in the room yet. It’s going to feel too real if it’s in the room😂 it’s scary!
I ended up having my son at 37 weeks & a quick labour so I’m making sure I’m prepared this time 😂 Everything started 2 weeks ago when I was 32/33 weeks and we’ve set everything up I’m 35 weeks now. It’s made me feel so much more relaxed because all I have to do now is work until maternity leave & chill without the rush xx
@Jessica 😂😂 mine started off in my room but now in the baby’s room. Trying to manoeuvre out of bed like a rotisserie chicken with the cot there was a mission! 😅
Ours is all set up and has been for a while (I’m 30W), except the car seat. That we’ll leave until nearer the time as it’s no use it taking up space in the car for months! But yes next to me is set up (albeit in a different corner of the room atm, we will attach it to the bed closer to the time. Maybe when I’m like 37W? Like the car seat, no use it getting in the way for no reason so far in advance). Moses basket set up. Nursery done.
I am 33 weeks first time mom and already set up the next to me crib just to get used to it in the room so I won't keep bashing it when getting out of bed 😄 I didn't put the mattress in it yet though x
I’m due an elective at 39 weeks and I was thinking of setting it all up the Friday before I go in on the Monday. However, that might be cutting it fine if baby decides to turn up early 🤔 so might get my hubby to do it around 37 weeks, so it’s ready to roll. Don’t think there’s a right or wrong time, just whenever you feel ready / want to. xx
I’m 35 weeks on Thursday and next to me is set up as we had to change our room around and I’ll be sorting car seat and Moses basket next weekend
I’m 32 weeks with baby no5 and I’ve nothing sorted, need to organise the baby clothes, put the baby inserts back in baby car seat, make space to have crib in front room and make cot up in bedroom, as well as start stocking up on nappies and bottles etc. I’m far from ready lol
I haven’t even got my pushchair or Moses basket yet, both should be here next week and il be 36 weeks so planning on doing mine around 37/38 weeks and will wash all the sheets etc for them too then
We got our delivery at the weekend and so we built everything. The next to me is in our spare room and the car seat base is set up in the car. The car seat is stored in the nursery for now. If we didn't have space for the next to me, we definitely wouldn't have done it yet! It definitely would be in the way in our bedroom!
I’m not finishing work until 35.5 weeks so probably around 37ish? Gives me time to have a good clean of the house, put the Christmas decorations up then baby bits once everything’s out of the way otherwise it’ll just get dusty!
I've had mine up since around 30 weeks , well, in the rooms they will be in. Just because we have animals and I want them to be used to all the changes we'll before we actually bring baby home. I was 35 weeks yesterday and actually set them up properly with bedding etc at the weekend. Car seat isn't installed yet but we got a new car yesterday so I'll probably get rhe ISOfix base in today and see how it fits in configuration with my toddlers minikid. Also hoping to get rhe final bits for my hospital bag next week !
Thanks for all of the feedback! Mixed opinions. Think we will start building the rest this weekend as better to be organised than not and it gives me chance to sort my Christmas decs!!! Xx

@Alana very good point about pets. We have a nervous cat so I am sure sorting now will help him to adjust !
I think having it up by 37 weeks is good as that’s when baby is considered full term and so if you were to deliver earlier that due date statistically it’s not very likely to be earlier than that, obviously that’s not the case for everyone but the vast majority. And if your LO is earlier then you’ll probably be in hospital for at least a couple days so you’re partner will have time to go home and get it set up ready for when you bring baby home.
I was planning on getting everything ready around 36 weeks, this is my second baby and my first came at 38w! Doesn't hurt to be prepared
