Nutramigen Puramino - water

Hey mamas, The tin says to use boiled water cooled for no longer than 30min. With his old formula neocate I used to boiled water and fill up bottles and use this through the day. I’m guessing I cannot do this with Nutramigen Puramino? Makes things a little less easy when out and about. How do you mamas prepare?

Hey yeah it’s hot water needed for puramino, so I used a rapid cool did 2oz hot shot and cooled the other 5! By the way we have just swapped the other way around so I have unopened tins of puramino if you’d like it x

Same question! Btw my tin does not say water should be cooled for 30 minutes!!

i find if the water isn’t hot it doesn’t dissolve properly! i mix it up with boiled water (i carry a flask with me) then pop it in the rapid cool once its all dissolved

Whats rapid cool? A setting ?

@Akansha they’re a flask by either Nuby or tommy tippy that instead of keeping water hot, when u poor water into it, it sucks the heat out and cools the water in minutes

@Maizie oh! Didn’t know that. Thanks. I am also having a hard time mixing the formula with room temp water as it makes lumps. What the can mentions room temp and not hot water to mix. As it may loose it’s sterility. Did you ask any peds if it ok to mix in hot water?

mine states do boil kettle, wait 15 mins then use it. this allows it to drop to around 70 degrees celsius and okay to use
