I've got a 19 month old and could have written this myself. He's actually super sweet with the baby, but he's acting out in all sorts of ways...endless tantrums, screaming in my face and hitting. I'm really hoping it will pass, it's just the change in the household. I think all we can do is give them as much attention and love as we can, this time will pass.
My oldest daughter is 2y 2m and we are in exactly same situation! I’ve never seen so many tantrums from her before. Hand in there!
We are taking our girl home tomorrow to our boy who is two next month. He's been so interested in her but I'm really worried about how he will act towards me now he associates me and baby together. Like you said, the hormones don't help and I just feel so guilty and sad for him. No advice sorry, but you're not alone 🩵
@Valentina Riascos when did your friends find this initial stage passed? I can't see the light at the end of the tunnel. The sleepless nights coupled with a toddler screaming at me during the day is just 😭
@Noshin I’m with you. And I just feel so sad for unsettling my little boy.
I have the exact same age gap and the exact same situation. My little girl is super sweet with little sister but has become so difficult in the past two weeks. That being said all of my girlfriends that have had this age gap tell me it’s completely normal and it will pass so I’m just trying to keep my patience and survive this month and hope everything goes back to normal. ❤️
