I’d be pissed. It wouldn’t bother me that I didn’t hear from him initially or that he didn’t let me know he was safe, I find that a bit odd tbh, he’s a grown man so that isn’t something I personally would do. But not letting you know his plans had changed and he was going into town is a bit of a joke. The fact that he did ignore you all night though, either he may just find it a bit much you checking on him all the time if this is something you usually do when he’s with his mates, if not then I’d be questioning if he was being honest and even at his mates at all
