What are we mommas eating when nauseous all the time?

I’m a first time mom and in my first trimester, I haven’t thrown up once but I’m just nauseous all the time day and night now. I know I need to feed my body so the baby can grow but everything sounds terrible. Any recommendations on foods?

I lived on bagels w/ cream cheese or plain toast my first trimester. Fresh fruit, specifically something more sour was a go to as well.

Plain easy foods like oatmeal, chicken breast, crackers, soups.

Hummus and simple mills crackers saved me the first time. High in protein too.

The other day I had club crackers with cream cheese for breakfast, and a bowl of white rice with nutritional yeast sprinkled on for lunch lol. I feel your pain!

My OB told me “eating the rainbow is what we want but if the rainbow is beige for a while that’s perfectly fine and well”. I could only hold down plain pasta and toast with my boy for the first half of my pregnancy. I would take an extra prenatal vitamin on harder days too

Homemade cold pasta salads with light dressing, blt on a good day, baked potatoes (usually with butter and sour cream), and baked sweet potatoes with oatmeal on top. Loads of bananas. Saltines are medicinal at this point. I was living on baby carrots and hummus but I guess that’s out for a while.

@Brianna why is hummus and baby carrots out? E-coli? This has been one of my staples.

@Emma yeah E. coli. My husband said he’s going to get me some full size carrots this evening and whittle them down 😂

I started taking 25mg Vitamin B6 3x a day, and 1 unisom tablet every night, and it has made a HUGE difference. I couldn’t get off the couch my nausea was so bad, but now I’m able to eat enough to get through the day (still having strong aversions here and there though). “Preggie pop drops” help too! Clementines are also a great snack! (Sweet, sour, and healthy)
