I’m tired of his excuses

My boyfriend and I have two babies together. My oldest is 23 months old and my youngest is 11 months. So having the babies close in age is a bit difficult as you can imagine. I am able to handle the difficulties that it comes with as I have patience and love my babies too much. I work from home, also take care of my babies since my boyfriend works night shifts. I watch them in the morning so he could get sleep. It’s not as easy as it sounds. My boyfriend complains that I have it easy because I get to sit down and work from home and his job requires to have him be on his feet all day and pick up heavy boxes. What angers me is that he uses that excuse to do not do anything… I work, I clean, I cook, I take care of our babies…. I don’t get how that is considered easy. I have no help whatsoever. No village to count on, that’s including my biological mother and his mother. I feel like I’m taking care of 3 babies. All I ask is for him to pick up after himself. He can’t even throw his dirty dishes in the sink. I’m so tired. I’m starting to resent him… is anyone in the same boat? Any advise 🙁

Ask him to watch the kids for a couple of hours while you are away. My man used to say things like that. Then after taking care of baby for a while he started to understand. The other thing I did was explain I do not sit all day. And in fact watching the kids 24/7 is 3 full time jobs just to babysit them and that does not include ANY chores. I take care of the kid while he is at work that is my full-time job and is equivalent to his full-time job. Watching the kids while he is home and doing chores is split 50-50. Because that is fair. Me doing 4 full time jobs while he does 1 is not.

I’m in the same boat honestly haven’t found any solutions that stick. We could talk I have no problem being a listening ear. You’re not alone hun.💙

Sounds like another men who expect his wife serving him. If you accept it he will keep doing it. I would just stop doing anything for him. Wash your and your babies clothes, cook for you and baby,... He gonna HAVE to start doing it for himself.
