I used infacol, it did work for me but gripe water worked a treat. Why was it recommended not to use it? Just curious.
@Selina I gave up on colief now because it’s too much headache for me as I’m EBF. Well I didn’t realise how controversial gripe water was until I saw a post here on peanut about it! There’s a lot of complaints about it being a choking hazard which I agree with as my nephew choked on it when he was a few months and I had to do CPR! Also someone said the A&E Dr told them don’t bother with gripe water it’s not evidence backed enough. And someone said they have ingredients like bicarbonate which creates gas itself and then baby burps/farts making you think it’s working. But who knows! There was some other points I can’t remember and It just put me off😅 x
I’m hoping with just infacol and lots of tummy massage and gas releasing techniques, I’ll manage 😅 x
Oh my! I didn’t realise! Yes - it will pass! It’s only when they are really small. It’s rough but it will pass x
Colief was the best for us..Infacol didn’t do anything. I know what you mean about being a headache…i used to pump and drop colief into bottles but with ebf..is more difficult..i also didn’t used al the time as my baby used to breastfeed at night but after 3 months unfortunately i had to go to formula and used then colief a bit more..i think they will still be having trapped wind anyway doesn’t matter what you used…i just found Colief too help a bit.
