Meal time set ups

Hi ladies I feel like mealtimes have become the most stressful part of the day with my LO and we need a reset. We sit in the kitchen. He is in his highchair and I sit opposite him on a bar stool leaning on the island. We're not level - I'm a bit higher. He doesn't really eat - more so throws everything; doesn't want to be there; gets upset with me when I stress and as it happens all the time it's getting disheartening. My in laws have no trouble feeding him - they sit at their dining table in the kitchen which is more level with the high chair and distract him with toys / tv. My parents let him run around and feed him whilst he's playing. Hoping you'll share your setups for inspo so I can mix things up a bit? TIA 🙏🏼

Honestly, it changes so frequently 😂 Sometimes he will tolerate breakfast in his high chair, other times I have to let him loose so he can play between bites of toast 🙃 He eats better if he’s allowed to graze throughout the day rather than 3 main meals + snacks.

We have a booster seat that attaches to our dining chair so we all sit at the table together. She happily sits for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks.

Our little one sits for all meals. We always eat at the same time as him so he knows the structure of breakfast, lunch and dinner. We sometimes offer a snack in the go like an orange or banana.
