Aww thank you @Sophie 💗
@Natalie no problem! My LG was a chunk for the first 3 weeks (think it was from needing higher volume to get back to birth weight - above bw by day 11!) Every baby is different and babies don't always fit the mould.
Hello, my little boy little boy has started doing this the last 2 weeks. He will be 6 weeks on Thursday. He falls asleep during a feed so we have started changing his nappy half way through sometimes that works sometimes it doesn't. He will then have the rest later. X
@Sophie my LG started doing this so we make sure she's properly awake before starting the feed, do regular burping and change her halfway through and she seems better. We also changed teat size as well as we found if it's too slow, she falls asleep and if it's too fast, she splurters on it
My babies the same, sometimes she'll have a big feed and sometimes she'll graze, I wouldn't worry about it so long baby is gaining weight and having roughly what she would have in a normal day
What everyone said And if you are paced feeding, she is not vomitting after, showing all her hunger cues, basically you are not actively force feeding her and the large volume is baby led then don’t worry :)) We were worried we were over feeding ours but then we realized growth spout and at certain hours she wants a big meal
Little boy is 3 weeks and exactly the same! Literally 10 bottles a day, he prefers little snacks 😅 My first boy was only on 6 bottles a day but 4/5oz by this point!
She may be going through a growth spurt atm so wants more at certain times. As you've said every baby is different and what they need daily will vary from baby to baby and you may find baby wants different amounts at each feed. You're not failing her! I feel the same at times (worrying about feed amounts) and my husband has to remind me that by feeding her and showing her love, I'm not letting her down & she'll take what she wants/needs
