Hello ladies. Please, I need your candid opinion. My husband lied about his trip. He actually made a hotel reservation in a city different from where he told me he was going. I found out a few hours ago and decided to make a reservation at the same hotel just to see for myself, and this time, he won't be able to exonerate himself and make me sound psycho and silly each time I raise his cheating issue. The story is very long but let me know if you have done this before. How best to do it? Should I confront him before he leaves the house(he will deny it as usual and tighten security)? Should I confront him when he arrives at the hotel? Or when he checks out the following day? What key things should I be aware of so I do not shoot myself in the leg? I am determined to go.

Your main goal: get evidence! Do not confront him until you get all the info you want. 1. Where he’s staying, 2. With who? 3. WHY, etc. Take LOTS OF PHOTOS, screenshots of his hotel stays, etc. and then ask yourself, what do you want out of this? Answers? First decide: Is there a possibility that he could turn violent? How best can you be safe? Could he try and delete your evidence from your phone? Maybe save in the cloud as backup. Is it worth confronting? Or do you want to get your evidence and then leave the relationship?

I would be waiting on the lobby when he is checking out. Bring some pepper spray in case he gets violent

If you have his game last name you can get the hotel key to his room and catch him red handed

@Lia I didn't get that.

I’d see it through. If you’re gonna go. See what he does after he checks in. Honestly though, is it even worth it? He’s obviously lying. Just move on.

@Lia sadly lots of hotels don’t allow this- if you’re not on the booking you can’t have a key. Perfect strangers with the same surname could help themselves into your room etc my husband (same surname) has had to call me to call reception and give him the room key and number because for security reasons they wouldn’t let him up. It’s a good thing i suppose

Why? You know the truth already. Closure sometimes makes things worse
