Girlies I need help & advice

So I’m 30+4 and really struggling. The past couple of days I have been in hospital with reduced movements and really bad pains from tightenings they have checked me over and baby looks healthy on the scan and his heartbeat is good but I’m still really struggling and in a lot of pain . They tested my urine which showed I had ketones and glucose in but never really explained what this meant ? This is my first pregnancy so I feel totally lost . I currently work full time in a nursery which is non stop I think It’s starting to become too much on me physically and mentally but I feel so guilty for going on maternity this early . What do I do ? Do I keep trying to work ? Diagnosed with anxiety and depression which is making this all feel like a constant battle . Thank you in advance for any advice x

Have u been checked for diabetes? I think it’s a sign of diabetes but I wouldn’t worry because if they are not worried I wouldn’t be worried but I would always ask there and then to explain what that means and why they do certain tests, I would call the midwife today and ask her all the questions and hopefully she will be able to explain everything and if ur still concerned hopefully she can advice u better x

Take some time off work and relax.. the doctor will be able to sign you off sick! I personally wouldn’t start maternity leave yet

Have you got any annual leave remaining? If so, maybe use some of that so you don’t eat into your maternity leave. I finished work @ 30wks. Purely because I had 4 weeks leave to use but mentally and physically I could no longer go on, and I wasn’t willing to over do it / make myself unwell. You and baby are priority. A business will replace you / cope w/o you. As @Amira said make contact with your midwife. She may be able to shed some light on what’s happening, & put some additional support in place to assist with your MH @ the moment.
