Friend just gave birth what do I gift her!

I forgot what I loved as a newborn mum 🤣 Fridanose picker was probably my most useful item I remember 🤣! What should I send her ?!?! Xx

I really loved the mustela products, like the no since water, and the baby face cream .. really helped with baby acne. And also the mustela shampoo with the frida baby cradle cap comb. Things you would t really think of gifting my very useful for a new mum. Or maybe a little care package for her.. some nice shampoo, nice smelling body cream / wash. A nice lip balm. Xxx

I probably would have cried if I was gifted some adult nappies 🤣 a cute outfit in a bigger size, some chocolate, sudocrem and a teddy? Personally I'd do a care basket for mum more than baby as I felt kinda neglected when baby was born; favourite shampoo, face mask, favourite snack, favourite drink, comfy socks/hoodie and any pp essentials like breast pads

Something different that one of my friends sent me that was super sweet was a gift voucher for just eat. So we could get a take away on her 🥰❤️

Neal’s yard does a lovely “Mother’s bath oil” which I was gifted as a new mum and love it!

I tend to gift some calpol, metanium, and a Frida nose picker when friends have babies. I hated the vast amounts of clothes, blankets and teddies and would have preferred useful stuff rather than things that didn’t get used in the time they would fit and were donated to charity.

I always gift a just eat voucher as I got one for my first born and it helped and say have a meal from the baby 😂 x

I would gift a matchstick monkey along with beautiful muslins or a nice blanket. I appreciated all the clothes and stuff I received but I would really have preferred vouchers to buy things of my own taste. Always add in the gift receipt!!

Obviously the baby got loads BUT for me … I loved the gifts for me. I had some nice lip balms / eye pads (not sure what they are - the good type for eye bags) / Neals Yard bath soak / Belgian chocolate / a really nice mum bag (not a nappy bag) / aromatherapy ball point oils.

I would have loved more handy things like room thermometer with night light if she doesn’t have one or a white noise machine

A lovely hand cream, remember the dry hands from all the nappy changes? 🙈 chocolates, wine, freezer food from cook, a voucher for a massage or a manicure to treat herself at a later date x

These new parent meal boxes are amazing https://www.cookfood.net/menu/meal-boxes/new-parents

We got sent the cake in the mail things, like brownies etc. and they were a nice treat when baby was born. I think food is definitely something we don't get a chance to think about when just had the baby so a takeaway, loads of frozen meals etc.

For baby - a friend for me the TT dream maker - that’s a great useful gift imo. Other ideas Microwave steriliser Travel change mat Teething toys 6-9 month sleep suits Socks (I didn’t buy any as has some lovely ones gifted)

A care package for mum would be lovely my friends gifted a hamper for me and baby with lots of goodies. Baby had 6m+ outfits dummies, a cup, rattles, personalised bibs socks wipes etc and my hamper had all sorts of self care gifts which I'm still using !

Honestly something for her. A hamper with snacks and drinks and little keepsakes to commemorate her becoming a mother
