How do I help my boy stand independently?😫

That’s all that’s stopping him walking, he’s so so fast walking around the furniture, sometimes holding on one hand now but soon as I try get him to stand either holding his hands/under his arms/ I’ve tried spoons/balls in his hands gosh everythinggg and he’s just wanting to sit back down straight away. Have the HV coming over next week for a review about his walking I’m nervous about it😪

Some babs don’t stand independently before walking . My boy didn’t start standing until a few days after he started walking . He used to walk then fall over when he stopped 😅

Our health visitor told us to sit on the floor both legs straight out in front, put your little boy part way down your legs facing you so he’s straddling you almost and hold his hands and just let him push up to stand up on his own - you’re holding him and he has support but he’s doing it himself. This really helped with our little one :)

My son is exactly the same as this! Walks really well holding my hands, with his walker or around the walls and furniture but as soon as you let he go he falls to the floor 🙈 xxx

My baby was like this a few days ago, would only stand unassisted for a few seconds before dropping but would fly round on the walker or holding our hands.. yesterday he just walked out of nursery unassisted with brilliant balance! It all just happened so suddenly xx
