Asd isn’t the only neurodivergence that sometimes presents t-rex hands. Your baby is a baby and no professional would consider a diagnosis until they are a few years old. Keep a diary of potential signs if you’re actually concerned.
Thank you so much !
Hi! As an OT, I’d say that if she’s hitting every milestone, it’s too early to consider autism. It’s most likely a random behavior that she’ll grow out of. Yes, babies can have sensory issues that young, but it’s typically accompanied by signs of distress when sensory needs aren’t met. Does she become upset if you move her arms/hands into different positions? Does she do the T. rex arms in specific situations or in response to specific stimuli? If you don’t notice any trends with when she does it, and if she doesn’t show signs of distress, I wouldn’t worry!
