Concerns

Hi everyone! First time mama here. My little guy just turned 1 on 11/5 and I need some advice! Not sure if I should be worrying or not! He hasn’t really said any words yet he does say mama and dada alot but I don’t believe in the right context. I THINK he is trying to say kitty cat and dog but he knows if I say where is the dog or where is the kitty cat he will look down and around for them. He also isn’t waving or pointing. He will clap though. Is this something to be concerned about? I feel like other moms of babies this age are saying that their little one is already saying like 3-5 words!

Same here, my little guy turned 1 on 11/6 and he still isn’t waving nor pointing. He does clap though and is babbling like he wants to talk but he still hasn’t said any full words.

Same. He started to wave recently but it’s more just general excitement waves rather than hi or bye I think- not sure. Babbling but not words yes.

I don't think it's anything to be concerned about. I don't think it's a concern for a baby to not be saying words until 15 months. If you're worried though, I would speak with his pediatrician. Every kid is different.

Don't worry! All kids are different and don't compare yourself or your son to others.. it'll give you headaches but just enjoy your lil man

Make sure they are not watching tv

I don’t know the normal stuff for age one I’m a first time mom too.. my son will clap, point, say what’s that, mamma, daddy, dog, duck not clearly but they all sound different and I know what he’s meaning he is standing and walking in his own, he acts like a flying squirrel with no fear…honestly ladies I think they just do things at their pace
