Baby trying to grab our food
My LO will be 5 month next week and all of a sudden become so interested in our food. He's trying to grab food off our plates and crying when we don't allow it. Has anyone else had this happen? How did you deal with it?
We are waiting until 6 months to wean but LO is getting so upset when we don't let him have what we have.

@Santa Yeah we tend to put him in his chair or give him a toy to play with to distract him whilst we are eating.
My LB has starting doing this and he's grip is bloody strong too 🤣 we've started to put him in his seat and give him spoons to play with to get him used to it and feel involved
@Fatima we've had to do the same. He gets so upset when we won't let him have it and watches us non stop when we are eating x
Today he got given his sippy cup too, he feels like he's involved lol
I put baby a bit further away from the plate! He’s too little to understand to stop and is probably really curious. He also gets upset but once the food is all eaten and gone he forgets. Tough tits, son

It's natural developmental stage, when they find them hand coordination that's what they do, my girl has started to do that too. I usually pit her in swing whole eating so she doesn't need to try grab it 😁 I'm waiting for her to sit on her own before trying first food 🙂
