I agree with Leticia. The free version of the solid starts app is also really helpful as you start to venture into foods with more texture.
Honestly that’s completely normal! Like said above ^ gagging is completely normal and it helps them learn to prevent choking, plus baby is newly trying different textures so it will take a couple of tries before he decides if he likes it or not or he may come around to certain foods eventually! We also did 101 before 1 and just completed, but I was also starting with purées only and started BLW after about 1 month and now we do full on BLW. But it definitely took some patience from myself and to let her explore the textures and foods , even if it meant she wasn’t gonna eat it but instead squish it around and inspect it lol. Steamed broccoli is great, steamed zucchini, strawberries, flattened blueberries, but yes Solid Starts app & 101 before 1 on instagram all have different ideas!
I love @messybunmotherhood & @the.baby.dietitian on instagram, they have amazing recipes and recommendations for babies first foods
Look up 100 foods by one year old. You can put it on your fridge and check the food when baby tries it. It’s normal for them to gag while eating, it’s a defense so they don’t choke, just make sure you’re offering the foods in the right size and shape
