Formula feeding

I’ve recently gone from combi feeding my 2 month old to exclusively formula feeding. He still wants to drink every 2 hours. Everywhere I read says they should only drink 5 times a day but he drinks 8/9 times 100/120ml a time. Is this normal?

Totally normal.

My 2 month old definitely feeds more than 5 times a day, sometimes she doesn’t finish the whole bottle but I’m washing more than 5 bottles after 24hrs 😆

Ok Thankyou . I just don’t want him to be overfed , he’s completely normal weight but it’s so hard to find stuff online

He won’t be over fed, as long as you aren’t literally forcing him. Does he finish the bottle each time? If so perhaps think about increasing the amount. I think we were on 5 oz feeds around 2 21/2 months. She 3 months now and is on mostly 6 oz feeds. Xx

How often did she drink at 2 months? He doesn’t always finish his bottle so I haven’t upped the amount yet x

Possibly 4 oz feeds every 2 or so hours.. I was also breastfeeding a bit so she was getting a few extra ounces there.

I remember she didn’t always finish the bottle, but we would try and get her to finish it within the 2 hour window. So she’d like have a break between sometimes a nap. Xx

Thankyou xx

Mine is a snacker. We do 2 oz every two hours. She simply won’t do more than 2, sometimes 3 at a time. We have about 18-20 oz a day and way too many bottles lol but it is how it is. We’re 7 weeks and been on formula since birth
