Flapping hands

Hey! Does anyone else’s little one flap their hands ? Not just excited or mad either. I’ve had a few people say it’s autistic traits, which is fine of course I was just wondering! 🙂

Flaps hands when I bring food to his mouth and he doesn’t want it and squints

For example

My wee boy does this I'm suspecting he could be autistic but my mum has said my wee boy was autistic from 6 /8 months old

My little girl does it sometimes Aswel and been told same raised it to health visitor couple months back and they said it still developmentally normal at this age but they will review her at 18m which will be January

@Ash (cant see waves) aw, does he do it a lot? Does he have any other traits x

He flaps his hands regularly, head bangs alot, kicks, slaps

He repeats words too. Is obsessed with anything with wheels

Try let her feed her self , honestly I found that helped alot with my wee boy

My son is nearly 3 and autistic yes it is a trait. My son does it regularly

My little one likes cars with wheels too, puts his fingers on the wheels when spun. Does your little one side eye a lot? My lad seems too and spins. He’s 16m x

My lil boy has been doing this a while too. Head banging, hand flapping, wouldn’t eat of any utensils, kicks and is delayed with meeting milestones, doesn’t answer to his name, isn’t interested in playing with toys he just throws them or likes things that spin, etc, I raised it to my gp and health visitor but I got told it was still developmentally normal at this stage and too give him some more time but they will review him again in the next 6 months if he is still doing so and isn’t any more developmentally forward, my brother is autistic and he follows so many traits of him, I guess time will tell as they won’t look at assessing or diagnosing at this age x
