Struggling with lunch. But breakfast is porridge, weetabix, toast, pancakes, or eggy bread with yogurt and fruit. Dinner a mashed up or adapted version of what we are having sometimes with extra steamed/ roasted veggies. I don't do snacks regularly yet but a I've tried celery with cream cheese or puree filling and he loved it, also rice cakes and melty sticks
@Flo Hi Flo, when you say you just give whatever you have dinner does that include things with spices (not spicy obviously) it would be so much easier doing this but I’ve been worried about his tummy etc
Literally what we have mild spices herbs etc are absolutely fine I just add salt to ours as needed after serving babies. And adapt the shapes either big finger shapes or I'll mash with a fork and serve solid starts has been great to figure out what he can manage. Some days I do double portions for baby so I can have a lazy day the next day and not cook for us haha
Thankyou ladies! He’s had baby porridge, we’ve started on Weetabix and he loves that! Never thought about toast, do you give that plan or something on top? @Flo I do offer what we have but on some that I’m not sure about I offer a good pouch. I want to start saving extras for him for the next day but what the best was to store and heat?? X
You can just pop in the fridge if it's for the next day if I make loads I freeze in small tubs or ice cubes trays and it's ok I'm the freezer for months I just defrost then hear in the microwave and serve. I did have quite a big staff until our freezer broke earlier in the week!
Ah okay, Thankyou ! Xx
Following as also need, I am usually giving my baby what I have for dinner but need inspo for lunch
