My kids never slept in their crib they always felt like it was a trap and will cry from the time you put them inside till the time u take them out. So we stop using the crib. We slept with them in the our bed or with them in their bed. We also got a lower bed even though they will throw pillows down to get down😂it will depend on how careful or advantageous your kid will be

I pushed our bed against the wall in the corner so both top and side were protected then I put her crib at the end of the bed as a barrier. So she was cornered in and to get out she’d have to climb over me, and I also had a rattling toy next to her so some nights she would shake it and wake me up.

Removed the bed legs and left the mattress on the floor
