My daughter also hates most loud noises but tends to be less scared/reactive when we can explain what the noise is and validate. "ohh, that siren was very loud, but it just means someone needs help"

My 3 year old doesn’t like loud noises either. My mom tried taking her to the skating rink and she wouldn’t go in because it was so loud. She covers her ears when her little sister is about to cry. She is scared of cows because they moo to loud. Other than loud noises, she’s completely fine. She’s weird about certain textures as well, but I think it’s just the age! Everything is new. Their little ears are sensitive. I don’t think it’s anything to worry about yet. I myself don’t like loud noises either! But it doesn’t bother me much because I know it’s loud, I know what’s going on. They don’t.

My 3 1/2 and 1 yr old is like this. They get very scared and run to myself or their father but around the house I’ll tell them mommy is going to vaccum or daddy is using the drill gun, etc… They still get a little scared when it initially goes on but after they are fine.

Yeah my son covers his ears and if a car alarm goes off he’s scared to go near or get in it after it’s off lol but okay I just wanted to make sure he didn’t need to go to the doctors for it and his papa has cows also he does not like when the moo at all 😭
