Combi Feeding

My LO is 6 weeks old and I’m looking to combi feed - how do you start doing this? What are the best times to introduce formula feeding? I plan to express when bottling to keep supply up is this the right approach? Any tips welcome! Thanks FTM

Start slowly introducing formula do more breast milk then formula so your lo gets used to it

I combo fed and started with one bottle a day to begin with and mixed it with my breast milk. Started with 3/4 breast and 1/4 formula then slowly increased formula and reduced breast milk x

I recently started combo feeding as well because my little one is typically demanding 6 oz and sometimes I only express 4-5oz at a time. I pump every 3 hours during the day and breastfeed if he wakes up in the night. I give him as much breastmilk as I can in each bottle, but if it’s below 6oz I will add 2oz of formula to the same bottle. He has done very well with this method. I don’t foresee having to do more formula as my breastmilk seems to be established now that he is 14 weeks old, but at least I know if I had to I can slowly introduce more formula. I started introducing the formula with the breastmilk during a morning feed as that’s when he’s very hungry. I am using the Bobbie organic formula for reference.
