No. Nothing is ever too much or too little. How ever many gifts u want to give ur child is the correct answer
@Olivia AHH, thank you. The photo you've sent is what I'd expect sort of your average child to get. Thank you. 🫂
Definitely more than enough! I think the fruit is a super good gift we got my son then last year and they was his favourite we’ve got more of them too. Only my parents by for my sons so I get the feeling of needing to overcompensate too haha ! X
@Keona thank you. I'm not thinking to buy more. I'm happy with what I have. I was told it was way too much but I feel it's a nice humble amount and with thought for what I think my child would enjoy. The comments I received made me feel pretty shitty so I'm doubting myself now. I'm all for families "spoiling" their children if thats what their family do. I'm just feeling shitty and confused by what was said to me is all. Thank you 🫂
People are rude and jealous. How u spend ur money on ur babies is ur business and not ours. 💜💜
Incognito - I get told all the time I’m “ spoiling “ my sons just because we buy them things , they obviously have never checked the definition of spoilt ( harm the character of (someone, especially a child) by being too lenient or indulgent). Because my son is the most polite, caring, little boy ever and he’s so greatful for what he gets. ( second is too young to say but we’re hoping 😂😂) If you know your child isn’t spoilt just ignore them , unfortunately sometimes it can come from a place of jealousy rather than love
Lovely gifts and definitely not spoilt. We all have different budgets, different lifestyles, different support networks. You don’t have to justify anything 😊 if some people saw what we’d got our toddler they might think it’s more than enough but like you there’s no debt, there’s no grandparents or family for presents, there’s plenty of educational and useful things like books and imagination play. No spoilt at all.
@Olivia the jealousy I don't really understand. My partner kids get £1000 in a Christmas tree bauble each, plus gifts and clothes shopping (up to £1000 each total) prior to Christmas. I got my child 8 gifts all in the sale to be as frugal as I can. I think it's lovely his children had such wonderful Christmas and got everything they wanted. I genuinely don't understand why what I got for mine is wrong and over the top...
Just to clarify and I think you all get why I put "spoilt" the way I have. I don't believe treating your children is spoiling them. And thank you all. I feel somewhat less crazy🫂
My 4 1/2 year old has; 29 main gifts, 13 stocking gifts & 10 Xmas eve box gifts. My 13 month old has; 18 main gifts, 11 stocking gifts & 10 Xmas eve box gifts. I always say, buy what you can afford & whatever you want for your child🤷🏼♀️
@Jasmine can we come and with you! 😁 Haha awh, wow. That sounds like it's going to be a beautiful Christmas 🥰 I hope your children remember and appreciate all you've done/doing for them for years to come. 🩷 Marry Christmas 🎄
That looks like a great gift bundle! We were thinking of getting maybe 4 bigger gifts and some little things for a stocking. So far we have a balance beam type thing to help her keep active over the winter months, and I'm hoping to make some dress up capes for her - maybe 3 capes which will all count as one gift.
Its my sons first christmas and oooh boy am I "spoiling" him 🙈 i also LOVE shopping and spending money, and gift giving is a love language of mine... not that he will be able to comprehend or remember anything because he will be 5 months old on Christmas...its more of a memory thing for me. But im also practical things for him like clothes, teethers, toys, etc. I have definitely gone overboard😂
Oh and thats just me + dad getting him stuff. We wont talk about how much stuff the grandparents, great grandparents, aunts, etc are getting him😭 stocking stuff, etc. Will have to find a nice balance next year as he will be 1.5 i think

@Ariel awe your son's a very lucky little boy🥰 don't forget this energy when he's 30 and wants a house, a car and a luxury holiday hahaha 🤣🤣🤣. In all seriousness though I hope you all have a beautiful first Christmas as parents with your little boy 🎄🫂🩷
@Olivia so there'll be 8 gifts under the tree. The books. the elf on the shelf will open as one of their pranks and we can read those each night. The light is to make the bedroom cosy, to switch on on special occasions. The doll they love dolls and we lost one this year. So a lesson we left that one go and I'm replacing it with a different version of it now. the pretended food was cheaper than buying a baby born or an Annabel doll (I'm trying to encourage and teach to use what you have instead of buy new all the time). No gifts from grandparents/ aunts/ uncles ect....
