Usually 4-5 months is a great time. But ask their pediatrician if the time is right for your baby.

Definitely going to ask just curious if other moms are giving baby foods at this age? @Zën

It’s not recommended to start until 6 months + meeting all signs of readiness per the AAP. Doctors aren’t trained in baby nutrition. It’s outdated info to start at 4 months. We do baby led weaning (skip purées) and always start after 6 months, usually closer to 7 months depending on each kid. Their gut just isn’t ready for real food until at least 6 months.

We’re waiting until at least 6mo & will start when baby shows all signs of readiness 💗

Agree with Katelyn. We start with a mesh feeder and then into baby led weaning. The solid starts app is great for that.

How do you know if baby is ready?@Ayla

My son's been eating apple sauce and baby food and he's 4 months and he's loving it

My girls about to be 4 months but we will likely wait until 6 months
