Following because I'm in almost the EXACT situation haha, 37 weeks on Saturday and I have a 19 month old daughter too 🙂
@Kelsey thank you! This makes me feel better. I worked in a home daycare with her for a little while and she did okay with me handling other children for the most part!
@LeAynne congratulations 🥳
My daughter was 14m when my second got here I would walk around with a baby doll and tell her what and why I had the baby doll. She would cuddle up to my belly and say hi and give kisses. When they finally met my daughter kept giving her hugs and kisses. She also threw a major fit because we weren’t letting her hold her sister 😂 I’m 6 weeks in and the hardest part of the transition is getting my oldest to understand her sister isn’t a baby doll and she’s can’t pull her hair and had to be gentle with and around her.
I had the same situation last year. My youngest will be one in January. I think it will be easier since your oldest understands and is excited for a baby mine was not lol. It took her some time to get used to a baby being around. So I would just say watch out for jealousy especially the first month home💜
