I do feel like it’s gone super fast but this end bit is where it all slows down I think. I’m starting my maternity end of Jan so I’m going to do all the bits like washing, hospital bag then. I don’t want to have all that time and be too organised and have nothing to do in it 😂
I feel organised in the clothes because I just can’t help myself from buying all cute little bits! I think once the nursery is done and my prams been delivered I’ll feel better 🤣 Yeah I might wait till 30+ weeks to wash everything while I’m off so everything is fresh! Are youse using your normal laundry detergent or buying non-bio? My midwife told me to use my normal unless baby has a reaction and also not to use softener to avoid any more chemicals on baby’s skin xx
@Olivia I use a laundry egg so I’m just going to use that. It’s scent free etc but I do normally use a softener for the fresh laundry smell so I might have to get the sensitive version of that. I have all the clothes for the first month . People tend to love to buy 0-3 size so I’ve not got many in case I’m gifted loads and I can just go out or order some in if needed My prams coming start if feb so praying littlest legs does not make a super early appearance
@Olivia I think mainly it’s because the boys will have to share a small room so it’s the fact of all new furniture needs to be brought etc and we have an issue with our built in wardrobe so need that all sorted first before I can officially get organised 😅🤦🏼♀️ it honestly all go aha But we use non bio anyway so I’ll be using that and I can’t not use fairy softener so we shall see and hope to god baby doesn’t have a reaction xx
I might get a laundry egg too! I do want that fresh washing smell nothing beats it does it 🥹🫧
This is my second. I’m just planning to use what we already have and buy few things when needed. will start washing after christmas 🎄 I use ecover zero and as for softener white vinegar. for dryer i have lambswool dryer balls. to freshen the smell I add few drops essential oils (lavender, mint, orange etc) to the dryer balls. It works great for all family. we stopped using regular detergents few years ago
My son is only 15 months so we have pretty much everything but a new car seat. I do need to go through all his old clothes though and sort out what we want to use this time and probably donate the rest. I’ll do that end of January/ beginning of February. Oh and pack my hospital bag!
We have everything with a second. Just doing up eldest room so we can move him out of the nursery. Reshuffle of clothes and will just need to do hospital bag.
I need to decorate my boys new bedroom and redecorate their old one for baby coming (it’s closer to our bedroom). But of course baby will be in with us for the first 6mo at least so it’s prob not as big of a rush as it feels! I’ve been washing clothes as I go but defo need to organise them into sizes and put them in drawers. I’m someone who likes to have my hospital bag packed by 30wks just in case (my boys were premature so was lucky I did pack it). I’m going to batch cook lots of meals to fill my freezer so I’m not in the kitchen postpartum 🤍
We'll be moving our 3 year old into the bigger bedroom so bought new drawers last week which means I've been able to get organised. I've moved his clothes and started washing and putting away what I've got so far for baby so I know where I'm at with everything. We don't really need much as I kept a lot from our son. I think just a new mattress to buy now for the cot and then any bits for my hospital bag
Its so strange!! It feels so close suddenly, but at the same time I also cant wait and am so impatient... it has really sunken in Im gonna have a baby!! ( first time mum in case you didnt notice :'D )
@Jo aww amazing! Yeah I was thinking about batch cooking a few meals! Even just for the first week so I don’t have to worry about cooking but my partner does also cook, but I’d rather have the time together instead of cooking! Xx
@Olivia definitely I’m planning 3wks of meals so it will prob last longer because we’ll still order in and possibly make it out for lunch etc but yeh do not want to be cooking those first few weeks lol
I literally haven't done one thing yet! And still need to decorate my toddler a room yet 😭 I will be 36 weeks and only just getting the clothes out the garage and washing them 😂 🤦🏻♀️ xx

Yh I am and I’m also dreading birth but I don’t want to think about it cause I will start panicking and worrying but it will hit me once he’s in my arms xx
@Natalie aww I’m so excited for birth! We don’t know what we are having so I think it’s made it a little more exciting! Just think only you can bring your baby into this world and that’s a beautiful & special thing 💙
Yh I’m doing it on my own so it’s gonna be hard xx
Totally not organised yet, aiming to get going in Jan. We’re converting our study into a nursery so need to decorate, buy all the furniture, and really buy everything baby-related 🫠 so far I’ve got one pack of sleep suits and 2 outfits - one was a gift, one we bought to celebrate our 12 week scan! So certainly no washing done yet 😂Our pram is being given to us by a family member so we’ll grab it in the new year. I remember how much the third trimester simultaneously flew and dragged last time, I’m hoping having prep to do will fill my days and stop me going stir crazy! At the moment I’m enjoying a slower pace, reading birthing books, watching positive birth stories, doing meditation, etc.!
Unfortunately I have not done anything ,I’m a new mum and haven’t even got clothes yet. Still tired
This is my second and I’m so unorganised it’s unreal and the fact that the time is flying past scares me a little😅 I’ll be washing clothes when I’m in my 30 odd weeks☺️ all the best girly♥️
