I had my first one done around 11 weeks and it was accurate with a girl!
From 9 weeks there's accuracy in blood tests🧡
I’m glad someone asked this because I was wondering the same thing!
my doctor office waits until your 12 weeks for the NIPT but i don't think 2 weeks would necessarily make any difference. the X chromosome can be detected as early as 6 weeks. i think you'll get an accurate result!
I did my last pregnancy around 9/10 weeks, though it was right for gender, it stated that my baby was high risk for Turner’s syndrome, because they only found one X chromosome, I went through high risk appointments only for the Nipt to be inaccurate, sucked that my baby had to get stuck after birth just to have all her (XX) chromosomes and be perfectly fine, gave me a run around through pregnancy and a year after, but this is just my experience. I won’t be doing it again this time. It stressed me out. And then the bill they charge out of nowhere 🤦🏽♀️
@Jennifer Oh my goodness that sounds terrible!! Thank you God that your little baby was perfect!! I have heard about the test results regarding abnormalities being super inaccurate and babies turning out fine. I really don’t want to look at those results, but I just wanted to find out the gender sooner rather then later :)
I had mine with my first pregnancy at 8 1/3 weeks and it was accurate
I’ve always had mine done about 10 weeks and it’s been accurate
