Message from the future!

Hello I'm part of the July 2024 group and a lady called @Océane from the February 2024 group said this post on our group around the time we were all waiting patiently for a sign of labour. It resonated with me so much at the time, I knew I was about to be a mother but I had no clue what I was doing and what the future looked like. Now I am here as a mother to an almost 5 month old and making my post to you ❤️ “Hello I’m part of the Feb 2024 group and I randomly landed here today.. I feel so emotional reading all these posts and remembering when our group was full of birth stories, mucus plugs and "is this early labour??" posts. I just wanted to say you're all doing so great and have such a beautiful adventure ahead. Well done mamas.” I can’t agree more and you’re all about to find out your amazing birth stories that you’re going to tell your friends and family for the rest of your lives! I myself pictured this at home, non-medicated, water birth. We had everything ready to go and I ended up going 2 weeks over due, had 4 sweeps, a 42 hour labour in hospital, gas and air, pethidine, an epidural and it all ended in an emergency C section and how I loved EVERY minute of it! Try to be open minded and embrace every part of your birth journey, even if it doesn’t quite go to plan or how you imagined. If you can make peace with that and just be excited for whichever way it goes then I promise you you’ll enjoy the experience so much more. It’s all part of your amazing story that you’ll tell! Try to be patient, I know it’s so hard when you’re expecting a sign any day but just remember that the baby comes when they’re ready. The baby releases a hormone when their lungs are ready to take their first breath and that’s what triggers labour! Whether you’re getting induced, having an elective, waiting for a sign of labour, having sweeps and for the December 2024 babies that will turn into January 2025 babies (😆) - I wish you all the best and I can’t wait to see your gorgeous bubbas on here soon ❤️ All the best, Hannah and Kit x

@Jess massive congratulations!! Wow those first couple of months are so hard but just the most amazing time of getting to know your baby. I won’t forget that first feeling of, okay I’m getting this, I’m doing it! The most rewarding feeling 🥰 hope you’re recovering well and being kind to yourself ❤️🫶 xx

@Océane ahhh there she is, little darling smile!! 😍😭❤️ it’s crazy how time flies, I can’t believe how quick it’s flying but we’re loving life and I love watching my baby grow into the most amazing little boy 💕 xxxxx

@Jess all the way through and still now sometimes something that really help me is to know that « this too shall pass ». In my case it was very associated to sleep deprivation, but it works for anything, including the most beautiful moments that we have to hold soooo preciously
