TTC while breastfeeding

Does a faint line on ovulation test mean I am ovulating or no? I’m 11 months postpartum and don’t have a period yet. Trying to see if I’m even ovulating.

Ovulation tests will always have two lines. A positive is when the test line is as dark or darker than the control line. After your first positive, you’ll likely ovulate 0-48 hours later. Apps will make the day after a Peak as ovulation day. The only thing you can do is keep testing! Keep in mind, it’s not a gradual increase to positive/peak either. You could have higher days then lower days and everything is normal. I was on the mini pill after my first & was breastfeeding… I stopped the mini pill at 22 months postpartum & got my first period at 23 months pp… still breastfeeding. Been trying to conceive since! 🙏🏻

@Nicole thank you! That’s helpful! I didn’t know how ovulation tests worked

If you were ovulating, you'd either get a period or be get pregnant again.

You'll only ovulate once before you get a period (2 weeks later). So you aren't ovulating if you aren't getting your period. But you can keep testing to try to catch that first ovulation before your first period if you want. But you could be testing for a while. Alternatively you can wait till you start to notice fertile quality cervical mucus and then start LH strips to try to catch it. That might save you some time and money on strips.
