Protein trace in unrine?

Today I had my 32 week growth check up. There was protein trace in my urine ( it was a tad cloudy) I hadn’t drunk much after I had lots of water it wasn’t cloudy anymore - I’m awaiting tests as they’ve sent my urine sample off . Anyone else had this and what was the outcome? No other issues down there and Bp was fine ….

I’ve had protein trace before too. It can be a number of things including if you’ve not drank enough so definitely could be that! Also could be the start of a uti I was told so just to keep drinking and see how I felt x

@Samantha ok thank you! Did you get a UTI in the end ? It’s been so long since I’ve had one I forgot the signs x

I’ve had protein and sometimes Leucocytes or whatever it is on mine just about every time, but they’ve said if it’s anything they’re concerned over they’d ring (never have). I’m sure if they find something they will call you xx

P.S I’ve not got any infections or anything like that xx

@Jessica thankfully not! I had my urine tested a few days after and it was back to normal then so I suspect it was just that I hadn’t drank anything or very little at the time I seen them x

Might be dehydration, hopefully its that as your bp is ok. Did they ask u to do a 24hr urine collection?

I've had protein in my wee loads of times, when I had thrush and utis, when I've been in hospital from dehydration with a lack of electrolytes when i was suffering from HG. I found drinking lots of water, pure orange, apple juice and cranberry with a lot less salt intake helped me and my kidneys out a lot, i barely get problems now

I’ve had protein in my urine +1 and nothing was ever said, next few appointments it was gone. My last pregnancy I had them every time and kept getting uti/Trush but I think a small amount can be normal! X

@Sarah no just sent my urine off and said they’d let me know x

I had thrush a few weeks back which is common in third trimester because of all the hormones so might be the start of that. If it is make sure you get a pessary prescribed cus they are £15 in the shops!
