My 17 month old boy can't say many words yet... and the words he does say, he confuses the meanings sometimes.
Like to say fish he says ish and to say banana he says Nana. I'm just worried he isn't communicating as much as he should be by now
My daughter is the same, don’t worry. Some words are way better than none. My daughter says a few like stop, no, yes, yeah, wow, wee, beep beep, and nana for banana as well. Give yourself grace. I was feeling the same way at first bc the doctor asks if she’s saying stuff like dog. I got her flashcards and hopefully she’ll pick some new words up.
He's trying the words. Words aren't easy to say . An attempt is still communicating
It's totally normal 👍🏻
My daughter speaks gibberish most of the time 😅
