My baby also doesn't crawl, she hates tummy time, she prefers to stand and jump around in her bouncers. We got her a walker and she has started moving herself around the living room in that. I was told recently by our pediatrician that they no longer even look at crawling as a milestone because a lot of babies just don't crawl
That makes me feel a lot better. He will kind of lean and pull himself up so he’s like shuffling around but yeah he just shows no interest IN crawling and ofc google is saying he’s in his walker too much and needs more arm strength so then we’ve been doing even more tummy time but when he’s screaming and crying because he hates it I’m like how long do we just keep him down for?? Yanno??
I fully understand! My baby HATES tummy time to a point of her turning tomato red from screaming! We are just working on her playing on her back and sometimes she will roll over to get a toy, otherwise we aren't pushing for her to crawl...I didn't crawl as a baby, I started walking at 7 months...it's just a thing some babies do :)
Same my baby will just scoot himself and move around with his arms and he LOVES his walker he moves so fast in it
@Leslie yes! My baby is like runnnnnnnning in his walker but idk I just worry if I’m doing something wrong or if he’s delayed
My baby will be 8 months soon and also isn’t really crawling and I don’t think she wants to she is pulling up though I told the doctor and she said that crawling isn’t a milestone cause a lot of babies would rather skip it
My daughter isn’t crawling and she turned 8 months I’m not worried I just feel like she will do it when she’s ready , I feel like following these milestones will drive you crazy
So my son is going through the same thing honestly. I was worried at first but I was told babies move at their own pace.
It really depends on the baby my baby started very early an is completely mobile(other than walking) now and we never did tummy time. I also work in a daycare and have seen kids not crawling an just suddenly start at 9 months
I’m in the same boat as well. But what kind of walkers do you guys use? (Brand name or picture) I heard some walkers are bad. I recently bought a push walker, which we were planning to start using. However, I’m wondering if I should return it and get a different kind.
Not crawling yet
some babies have no interest in learning, some are lazy, some learn at 4 months some learn at 14 months, some just learn to walk. it’s normal to feel worried but you really have nothing to worry about. he will learn to be mobile when he’s ready😊i worked at a daycare and watched a lot of little’s take off running who never even attempted a scoot 😂 if you feel like there is a serious delay it doesn’t hurt to bring it up to the pediatrician:)
