Still no words

My little one is a super active boy, loves walking and climbing. But his comms isn’t coming along as quickly. He’s still to say his first intentional word (he forever babbles). He knows some instructions but just doesn’t seem in a rush to speak. We read and sing and I encourage him a lot and I don’t want to put unnecessary pressure on it because I’m a big believer of “he’ll do it when he’s ready”. But I just wondered if anyone else is in the same boat?

My son is the same, repeats some sounds, but not said any proper words. He understands what I'm saying or asking though x

My boy is the same! He “chats” all day and understands words like if I say get your ball he’ll go get his ball. I am also a firm believer in they will get there in their own time x

They will definitely get there in their own time! Every baby is different and they’re all doing so well as it is! It’s so hard to not put pressure on ourselves all the time but our babies will get there!

Thank you ladies! It’s nice to know it’s not uncommon ❤️

My daughter also doesn’t have any words. She will say ‘mama’ but we’ve discovered that’s just a babble noise meaning she’s hungry 🤣 I’m hoping they come soon as she also understands what we say! She babbles all day long and we’re doing what we can to encourage.
