Oh lord, my son is only 2 right now 🤦🏻♀️ What exactly is a beige diet? Also, they tell us they are always fine but it never eases worried mom brain 😭
@Geena basically just eating foods that are beige.
My daughter 2 now also getting picky what to eat. I wake up early to make fresh breakfast for her and almost all the time she will not eat it. I have to have what she thinks is yogurt (overnight oats with yogurt and jam sauce) in case; she would ask for it. Only eat it at times. Or want a pouch or just bottle. I feel like I'm going backwards. At first I thought she gets bored or need variety. So when I see she will eat; I'm like yes success. Make it again next week and it would be no go. Only good thing is my daughter goes to daycare and she would there. A co worker of mine was saying we get caught wiht trying to hit all the food groups in a day. But as long as they eat and it's through the week; it's okay. Us adults definitely don't always hit all the food groups a day.
@Geena like potatoes, toast, crisps, chips
My toddler is eating a few different things now but not loads, cereal never fails and crumpets, yoghurts, sausage, chips, crisps, omelette and pasta for us
my son literally sticks to his staples pizza, soup, hot dogs, pancakes, any type of sausage and pasta and he loves his snacks lol
My sons list of food in its entirety right now is: Eggs Sausage/some kind of meat in a patty Chips Tomato Cucumber Variety of fruit I make fresh food everyday and I’m throwing it out. As soon as I put him in his high chair he goes crazy. Even though he’s visibly hungry and asking for food. If I give him food out of the high chair he will have a bite or 2. He won’t use utensils so literally picks rice by each grain, it’s so hard to watch!
Here with you. ❤️Could cry sometimes, just stood there to make a meal I thought he would really like, but nope. It’s very disheartening. Eats miniscule amounts. But I keep offering variety and similar things and super small portions (I have heard it need 10-15 ‚tastes‘ before they accept something new. Think we are at no 8 with cucumbers- and I see that he is slowly interested? We are at bare pieces of pasta and peas and sweet potato fries as ‚secure‘ foods - at least 😂 but ketchup? Nope. 👎 my child is probably the only one that does not like ketchup.
My son is 3.5 and he still lives off the “beige diet” I have no idea what to do. My pediatrician said as long as he starts eating his veggies and meat by 5 we’re good.
