Almost five year old and nightly crying

My daughter has been crying in her sleep, loudly and persistently for three nights in a row. One night, she said she had to go to the bathroom and then was fine after she did. One night she couldn't tell me what was wrong. One night she complained of leg pain. Anyone else experience this? Should I be concerned?

Hi I am no medical professional. I would take her to get checked to be sure and this is just a thought. Could she possibly have a UTI? These could be symptoms but again, I am no professional. Have you notice anything different with her urine smell or amount? Any other pain? You don’t have to answer just what crossed my mind. I hope it all gets better!

Growing pains? Muscle tension or knots? Chiropractor could possibly help. Pediatrician would be good too, just to be sure all bases are covered. Maybe get some bloodwork done to see if her levels are okay? Constipation? Eating enough in general? Maybe have a few talks about feelings. Validate and guess what she or her friends might be experiencing? I love the "little spot of (sadness/love/confidence/anxiety)" books. My almost 5 year old son loves me reading them every night. We have pretty good talks about big feelings ❤️

Growing pains is most likely the cause of the leg pain. My 4.5 year old has been getting them quite badly some nights. The only thing that helps is Calpol and me massaging his legs. It's mostly behind his knees. So horrible to see them in pain and it's almost always most noticeable at night.
