Speech

What is your toddler speech looking like? My toddler is starting to put words together and has a decent vocabulary. But they still babble a lot. The pediatrician is not and has not been concerned. Their milestones are being met… but I must say when we go to outside toddler time (library, classes )activities I find that kids my sons age are talking very clearly and forming a lot of sentences.

My 2.5 is a super shy shell go from saying stegasaurus and mommy velocilraptor to not saying anything. I've been putting on Dulolingoabc (which is free) and super simple songs to help her but what she likes to do at that stage so reading 30 mins a day helps when she is trying to copy my words. Speech bulb is i believe $12 a month for subscription, but again, you shouldn't worry about that. It's not a race, and your son will learn to speak clearly, my daughter isn't start saying anything that wasn't momma or mommy until 2 years 2 months and she surprised me by saying I want this *puts my hand to the fridge*

My son is 2yr 2.5 months, he's using full sentences that I understand but a lot of people still find it to be babble. My cousins kids is 3 and still barely talks, doesn't use sentences. My youngest brother is 2yr 7m and speaks in completely unintelligible sentences

@Kai Not everyone is the same, but again, it's the amount of effort you put into it, what he or she picks up and understands. I sit down and sometimes do 5 hour lessons with her but I'm a SAHM, if you have a nanny or people who watch your child can help with speech and talk to the baby. I know I don't watch TV because of 16 hours plus a day she will listen to Lucas and friends speech videos and so much more even if it's background noise since she doesn't watch TV and even on friendly walks or even around the house I'm saying do you see what mommy is doing. Mommy is cooking, mommy is stirring because they can't pick up big words yet and they need. My daughter can do the abc and count up to 40 and verse it down to zero

@Kai she doesn't want to say the names of the month but best believe she knows it, all her stuff is education because she doesn't like to really sit there and watch TV, she has a tablet and her tablet will only display educational videos, she will do flash cards. It isnt easy but you are doing well, just have time and patience you are doing well
