I was the exact same, went in with reduced movement but it was my blood pressure they ended up being concerned about. I was given a tablet and was monitored for 4 hours. Once it finally came down (still 140) I was told I was able to go home but would need to be seen for a growth scan and my blood pressure needed checked each day at my local hospital until they were happy, they weren’t sure if my blood pressure was so raised due to me being worried about baby’s movements
I had it with my first and ive got it again. I go in for regular monitoring as the meds made me want to die 🙃 but I would have taken them if I could. I've also had extra scans this time to keep an eye on babe and taken asprin from 12 weeks My little girl was born perfectly healthy (6lb9oz) and my blood pressure went back to normal levels after birth My worry was I never had symptoms when my blood pressure was high and I don't this time either, I opted for indicted at 40 weeks (didn't know it was high til 37 weeks) and I'll be requesting early induction this time too Just try to stay as calm and you can and relax :) you're doing everything you need to look after yourself and babe 💜
@Karlie Thank you!! I will 100% ensure I am being monitored closely❤️
@Rachel Thanks for sharing this Rachel. It’s so scary isn’t it! I have a consultant appointment on Friday to see if they can put a plan in place up until he makes an appearance! Xx
@Jennie Thank you so much for this Jennie!! I absolutely will try and stay as calm as possible and I’m sure I’ll feel better when the consultant gives me a plan of action on Friday! Take care of yourself❤️
Yes I actually went to the hospital for iron infusions on Monday and my blood pressure was elevated and slowly started rising and I had a headache they gave me some meds for my headache and ended up giving me meds to control my blood pressure and I had to stay 24 hours to be closely monitored and I’ve been checking my blood pressure twice a day my whole pregnancy. But I’ve also had problems with my blood pressure every pregnancy I’ve had and all my babies came early because of it. But this time is the only time I’ve been put on meds for it. They didn’t tell me they were going to have to monitor his blood sugars when he is born just moved my C section up two weeks so he’ll be here on the 26th of next week. So very nervous and curious as what’s gonna happen now. Good luck love!
Don’t want to scare you at all but your blood pressure is so important in pregnancy. I would keep a very close eye on your symptoms and get yourself checked if something isn’t right. High blood pressure can cause placenta abruption and it is fatal. Please please make sure you are under good monitoring 🙏🏼❤️
