Toddler tantrums over food

My (not so) little one has tantrums over food all day, every day. He goes into a full blown melt down if we say no to him having food (obviously only when we know he isn’t actually hungry or if the food isn’t appropriate for him such as being too spicy). He could eat a full sized dinner and dessert (like a banana) and still scream for more. We can’t go out for food because he screams in his high chair unless he has food in front of him. He would eat until he was sick if we didn’t stop him. Does anyone else have this problem? What do you do?

I’m currently going through this and it so hard

@Jamila Amin are you concerned about their weight/food intake?

Not really, I don’t give extra food but it hard with the tantrums

My little one is always hungry but she is very active and is gaining weight on the curve so we just listen to her hunger cues and offer healthy snacks. Even if that means she has 3 meals and 5 snacks a day
