I have a nearly 6 week old and almost 4 year old, for the first couple weeks after my partner went back to work things were chaos he wouldnt listen and would be generally destructive, ive found distraction works a treat and also getting out and about with him as well helps, it does get better, i think it just takes them some time to get adjusted to a new tiny human x
I’ve got a 6 week old and a 2 year old and I’ve found my 2 year old is “testing” he is more jealous because when I’m feeding baby he wants to play all of a sudden, it’s hard to navigate but I’m hoping a bit more time we will get there! They are so used to just us and them and having all our attention and then this extra one comes along they just aren’t used to it. X
Could of written that myself. My 2 year old has been absolute chaos. But he seems to be calming down a bit now thankfully.. he was so bad though. He ripped off all his bedroom wall paper and never ending attention seeking... 😒 felt bad for him though. It's a huge shift for them too x
It’s hard isn’t it. Yesterday was a bad day and I cried a lot! I know it’s a massive adjustment for them, hopefully it gets better soon 🤞xx
Yes! I have a 6 weeks old and a 15 months old that used to be good but for the last 2 months has been veeery difficult, on the move all day, frequent tantrums and sleeping worse than a newborn 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️. Luckily my partner is still off work for now so he's been managing the toddler but once he's back at work I have no idea how I am going to manage 🫣. I really hope it gets easier for you!!
