It sounds like you're doing things right and talking to him a lot, it's probably just going to be a case of waiting. I think listening to music and reading really helped develop my little ones speech. Don't just focus on the word but actions too. So use a toy and say the teddy is jumping (with the action of it jumping) 'teddy like hugs' (hug action) 'awww' etc. I also just talk to my little one about everything we do. It's good he understands and you're probably right he's using a lot of his focus on gross motor skills. When my first born was little my friend had a son the same age and my little one was really chatty and her little boy was really adventurous but hardly spoke. They are both 9 now and at the same level in most things 😊
15 months is very young still, also Important to remember a word is just a sound they associate with something, it doesn't matter if it makes no sense. Animal noises and signs also count. Keep doing what you are doing cos it's perfect, words will come
I’m in the exact same position. He’s an amazing babbler but yet to hear some words other than babababa or mama. my baby has excelled in all other development areas in terms of walking, motor skills, weaning, sleep routine and even interacting with other babies at Nursery. I raised my concern with the nursery nurse and she gave you some good advice. She said some babies are walkers and some babies talkers. Perhaps because our babies excelled on the walking side of things, they can finally beginning to focus on talking. Fingers crossed for the both of us, but I’m sure they’ll be fine. My babies cousin didn’t start until two years old and he is 3 and 1/2 now and has the most incredible vocabulary. 🙏x
Guys try alpha block over miss rachel it helps them with sound and phonix ,
I am in a similar position to you with my LB not really saying anything. According to his nursery ladies, we basically just have to keep saying things on repeat and eventually they pick it up. E.g. you see a dog out walking and you say "ooo look a dog, LO can you see the dog, what a nice dog, say hello to the dog, arent they are fluffy dog, say goodbye dog". You will sound like an idiot but its the constant repetition that will make it stick at this point. I must have said tree to LO about a hundred times to my boy last night (just put up Xmas decor) and he started pointing at it and saying Tea by the end of the night, but he's back to saying Dah when pointing at it this morning haha
