@Naomi Thank you for your reply. It’s reassuring to hear we aren’t alone! I wish he’d take some milk, I think even if it was just milk I’d feel a lot more at ease than I do now- especially not knowing quite how long he’ll keep it up for! 🥲
Yes I had the same with my son last month and my daughter years ago. Not nice to hear but v normal. Someone explained it well to me, that it’s the only thing they can control in a new setting so that’s often why it happens 🤷🏼♀️. My son refused to eat anything for about 2 weeks. Now he eats all of most of the meals. He will get there, just not nice when you’re in it xxx
@Hannah Thank you for sharing! You’re absolutely right, and it does make total sense as to why it’s happening. I hope it’s only a matter of weeks for us before he at least feels settled enough to attempt any meals or snacks!
Yes I had the same with my little boy! He was on hunger strike at nursery for a good month (he goes 2 days a week) but thankfully would drink 2 bottles whilst there. They said it was normal and food is usually the last thing to come when they settle! It will get better ☺️ xx
