Balance of milk and solids

So my boy (nearly 8 months) wasn’t a big eater until this week but now he has become an unstoppable force when it comes to solids. He usually has at least 32oz of milk in 24 hours (I know that it’s sometimes quite a lot but he’s always been a milk guzzler and it averages out over the week) but this has dropped to around 24-27oz this week and he is totally not interested in milk in the mornings, he has 7oz overnight but maybe only another 6-10oz til around 3pm. Basically is this normal and ok? Today he completely refused his milk feed a couple times but ate solids really well not long after

Following as my girl has done the same.

That's ok, as long as he's getting the minimum amount of milk for his age, which for 7-12 months it's 21oz.

@Jayde mine isn't drinking the minimum so I'm adding it into her meals. I don't know how else to make her drink more she's also got a cold so hoping it's just a one off !

@Samina My little girl was like that last week. It was a struggle to get even 18oz into her, and I didn't give her any meals either because she wasn't eating anything. It's recommended that you remove a meal if their milk intake drops too much and then slowly introduce it again.

Ah brill thanks @Jayde il be sure to keep an eye on it too, I bet it all changes again next week or it will be something else weird going on 😅 I can’t keep up with him x

I made 2 6oz bottles instead of 7 earlier today as she’s been a bit off + also has a cold 🤧

Yeah his two front teeth are coming through as well so that could be something to do with it!

@Jayde thank you will try that once she recovers
