Get some melty type sticks, I thought the same thing until I watched her demolish a whole one! Their gums are really hard and it’s helped our little one learn to chew x
@Chelsie it’s so scary isn’t it! My first choked on some beef once she literally was turning blue, she must of been around 2 as well at the time. Thank god I knew the first aid!!! - Thank you for the suggestions! Really helpful 🥰 I did a homemade curry last night for my 3 year old and then blended it up for my 7 month old, went down really well! Thanks for replying xxx
@Molly thank you!! She’s had some melty puffs and was good with them. I forgot about the longer stick ones they’ll be good! Xx
My daughter was a slice of grape, the hospital were like thank god you did a first aid course; it should be mandatory for all parents… I think as they get older you get a little lapse, letting them walk around etc now we’re so strict on eating! Xx
My daughter was much the same, she was eating olives and all sorts by 8 months, we had a choking incident with her a month before she turned 2 in November; it scared the life out of me. My son has multiple health issues, still isn’t able to properly wean and we’ve been advised only purées by SALT. But now I’m petrified of ‘real food’ But what I do realise is, every baby is different and has their own timeline, as do we as parents and what happened for one may not happen for another; maybe introduce food you know could be safe? Eggs can be broken down pretty fine, melty sticks and wafers etc. you could also puree proper dinners and start making them thicker as they go on, for example Spag bol? Xx
