Baby overeating ?

My baby is 3 1/2 months old. He typically eats 6 ounces of formula every 3-4 hours but sometimes he wants more in like an hour or two. He does spit up quite a bit if he has the back to back bottles. He doesn’t show any signs of pain or discomfort when he eats that much. He typically tends to “overeat” every night before bedtime and sleeps a majority of the night without waking. Any other mom deal with this?

Try to mix baby oatmeal cereal so he can get full faster !

But my baby’s doctor said it’s better to over feed them then to starve them .

I'd cut back an ounce or 2, especially if he's spitting up a lot ... do 5 ounces.

@Kat my baby I do 4 ounces I burp her and i see that she’s not full I do other 2

I do an ounce less if I'm feeding too close to the last feeding.

@Brianna he’s on a formula with added rice already

My baby was the same. I started cereal in bottles at 2m but he would still eat a lot. He’ll be 4m on the first and the milk and cereal still isn’t enough for him

@Vivian maybe they’re just big boys 😭 my cousins baby is 1 and was the same way he’s such a chunker now

Try baby cereal in his bottle to make it thicker I would start with either early morning bottle or late night bottle to see how he does first

My son eats 5 ounces every two hours on the dot however will not tolerate baby cereal

@Madison His formula already has added rice in it 🥲
