Yes - it could be a sign of pre-eclampsia, that’s what I had. My blood pressure would not go down and I was about 8 months pregnant. They took me to the triage Bec my blood pressure was just getting higher (about a week of constantly increasing BP), they did some testing and immediately took me in and started inducing me. Please speak to your doctor to monitor it. Pre eclampsia is serious - most especially when it becomes eclampsia.
Hi sweetie, I’ve had this my blood pressure just wouldn’t stay down but as long as the baby meets the ‘Dawes Redman’ machine- they should just let you go home. However, it could be something underlying like anemia or a condition to do with the heart, or even pre-term labour- and those are the things they need to look out for. But usually a slight increase of blood pressure is not cause for concern x
