How to get more protein

Ok. I had my fourth son two months ago and I’m trying to eat healthier. I’m nursing and basically I drink a coffee in the morning and then I eat dinner when I’m hungry in the late afternoon. That’s not gonna work. Any tips? Any simple recipes? I’m all ears.

I make my own trail mix, i drink a protein shake a day and i add protein powder to anything i can smoothies, pancake batter or any really baked good i also add egg whites/cottage cheese to lots of recipes i would look online theres a lot of low cal high protein influencers/recipes, when you eat dinner always make a protein and start your meal by eating it example, if you make chicken and rice it most if not all your chicken before eating the rice

Protein porridge smoothie for breakfast. Add milk and fruit

Isopure is my fav protein powder brand!

Protein powder, granola bars, oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, nut butter added to a lot, jerky products. Seeing a post partum dietician is also super helpful. I have learned to ignore my hunger cues because I am never hungry and use logic instead whenever possible.

I agree Rachel. I could eat a full meal and be very satisfied and still feel very hungry. It’s confusing to me and not helping.

That’s relatable! I started seeing a dietician because it was hard, they made it so much simpler! My supply was dropping a little from low calorie intake, whoops.

I wonder if they are covered by my insurance. I’m going to look into that! I really appreciate the info!

I’m the same way. I like to get in a protein mid afternoon for extra protein . I really like using Twenty2 Nutrition. She’s got collagen egg protein or grass fed. Very clean ingredients throughout all supplements and don’t get me bloated either like other brands. I highly suggest looking into this brand 🤗 Her iG is @Hannabower2 & @Twenty2 Nutrition
