Going into labour before elective c-section date

Has anyone had experience of this and what did you do? I’m booked in for my elective at 39+4 and terrified about going into labour early. My first baby came naturally 3 days after due date

Birth plan

Does anyone have a birth plan template they can share? I didn’t make one with my first and kind of just went with the flow of labor. I tried a google search, but nothing I like popped up. I know the basics I want to include. This will be a planned c-section whereas my son was not planned (not emergency) and I was ve...

Induction?

So with my first I was induced at 39 weeks but this time around I’m debating refusing induction. I’m due the day after Christmas so I know that it’s going to be brought up at some point because a lot of doctors don’t want to work that close to the holidays. Im just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on refusing o...

Baby so high

I am 33 weeks and my baby sits so high up. I see many moms posting that their baby is so low or dropping around 30 weeks and after. Mine is still super high, does that mean that labor is very far away? 🙄 I want this oveeeer at 37-38 weeks if possible 😂

C-Section recovery must haves!

So I’m opting for a c-section for my 2nd as I have PTSD from my last birth. I’m still really nervous as I’ve never had an opp/ been into theatre before. I want to be fully prepared… What would you say are the most important things to have post C-section? Thanks

In your group of friends/people you know, what type of birth have most people had?

Just interested to see because out of everyone I know that’s had a baby (would say around 30 of us) just myself and two other friends had vaginal births, everyone else had c sections. After my birth I found it really hard because none of my friends had the same type of recovery as me so I felt so alone about what I ...

Emergency vs Elective

Hello! So I had an emergency c section on my first baby. I’m pregnant with my second, and I’m thinking of going down the elective c section route. Just wondering if an elective c section is easier to recover from than an emergency one.. those of you who have had both. Thanks

Unsuccessful sweep…

Has anyone had this? I’m nearly 39 weeks and I am not dilated, so the midwife said the sweep was unsuccessful. it was so so painful I didn’t expect it to be so sore! Anyone else the same or am I just really bad with pain threshold… I’m even more terrified for labour now

39 Weeks not dilated at all

I’m currently 39 weeks and not dilated at all. I have been trying the ball exercises and raspberry tea and everything. Can’t walk too much because of excessive feet and leg swelling. Any advice for how to speed things along. Trying my best to avoid an induction.
