I’ve had 4 lots of tightening in the last hour but they last less than 60 seconds. Some come with sharp pains lower down. Does this mean labour is near etc only lost small amount of mucus plug a couple of days ago. No sign of waters breaking ether. 38 weeks +2 days

Is this normal?

Sorry if this is TMI!! I’ve gone to the toilet twice today and urinated, thought I was finished, stood up and then wet myself. Is this normal or do I need to ring triage?

Induction / C-Section

So I have been told it’s likely I will be induced 37-38 weeks because I’ve had some complications with gestational diabetes and hypertension, currently being monitored for pre eclampsia 😞 I’m really nervous about the whole thing, I do read a lot of horror stories about inductions but I’m not too scared to have…

When to call?

At what point do you call the midwife because you think you’re in labour but have no idea? My mum (and yes I know I could be completely different) didn’t lose her mucus plug, and had to have her waters broken in hospital as all she had to show I was on the way was pains, tightenings and backache, after her waters w...

Matb1

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone knows how matb1 forms work when opting for an elective c-section? My midwife said I will be issued my matb1 at 25 weeks (my next appointment) but I’ve read people don’t get booked in with their consultant for a section date until around 30+weeks. Just unsure how this then works w...

Umbilical Cord

Hello all, My little one is 21 days today. His cord still hasn’t fallen - we were told it can take longer than usual as he had to have antibiotics at the hospital. We are seeing the midwife tomorrow but I am getting a tad worried being me. Anyone still waiting for theirs to drop?
