Can people actually tell the gender from the first scan?

My sneak peak and ultrasound scan both say same gender.. but I'm still not sure whether to believe it or not.. could it still be wrong?? My result was a boy.

Little bugger didn't want to play ball, the sonographer had me running up and down the bloody stairs as baby just wasn't in the right position to do all the necessary checks. After 30mons she managed to get all the measurements. Measuring 12 week 6 days DD 18th November.

Just to let people know if you’re planning on finding out at your 20 week scan the hospitals will no longer write it down or keep it a surprise so you can do a gender reveal. I’ve booked a gender scan with my 2nd and realised I’ll be 14w 6d, I know it’s advised to be 15 weeks. Can someone confirm it won’t make a difference being a day early?😂😂🙈

I went for my early scan today there was a sac and a yolk! No embryo yet as I’m only 5 weeks but I go back in two weeks for another scan it’s eased my anxiety a lot 🥰

Hi. I had my 36 weeks midwife appointment today and my baby is measuring on the 3rd percentile. 2 weeks ago was on the 10th percentile. I am a bit scared and worried. Someone that had this late pregnancy on the 3rd percentile and everything work out perfectly in the end? Thanks

Has anyone decided to go for a private early baby scan at 6/7 weeks? Would you say it’s worth it if you have?

I’ve been booked in for an ECV next week (36+4) - I wasn’t really told anything, I asked if there was anything I needed to know and was just told “it’s just like a normal scan”, but online I’ve read there’s lots of risks and it can be painful etc? Anyone have any experience with an ECV they’re happy to share?

I had my 27 week app with my midwife today ( also under consultant care). But she didn't measure bump which is what I expected. I don't know if she didn't do it because I'm having growth scans at the end of the month. Should I have asked for her to measure me. ?

I have my scan tomorrow to schedule FET Transfer - at this clinic it’s usually 5-8 days after the scan. I’ve got flu which I’ve had for 3 days I feel like it’s beginning to clear but do you think they’ll cancel my transfer if I have a cold?
